To import a form mapping from another project (or copy an existing form mapping on the current project), select the 'Import Form Mappings' option from the Project menu
After selecting this option a new dialog appears.
Load the Project you want to import a form mapping for. This must have the same source and target server type as the current project. If you want to copy one or more form mappings from the current project, simply select the current project name in the Load Project dialog.
The left hand list contains the mappings available to add from the loaded project.
The right hand list contains the mappings that exist in the current project.
- Select the maping(s) you want to add from the left hand list.
- To add at the start/end, click the Add At Start or Add At End button. The mappings will be moved to the right hand list and highlighted blue with a + prefix
- If you want to add a mapping after an existing mapping, select the mapping to add after in the right hand list and click Add After. The mapping(s) will be moved to the right hand list
- and highlighted blue with a + prefix
- If you want to replace a mapping (or mappings) with the selected one(s), select the mapping(s) to replace in the right hand list and click Replace. The mapping(s) will be moved to the right hand list
- and highlighted green with a R prefix
- If you want to remove one or more added mappings, select them in the right hand list and use the Revert button to remove them from the right hand list.
The example above shows one mapping being added and one replaced.
You can repeat these steps as many times as needed.
Once you have added or replaced all the mappings you want to add click Import Selected Objects to perform the action(s).
After importing, check the new mappings for any invalid or broken references to forms/fields or mappings that do not exist in this project..
