Foundation
(Release 1). This Template migrates foundation data (companies, locations, departments, groups and users) from HPSM into Service Now.
Before Execution, the COMPANY_CODE variable must be set. This should be the company code in HPSM for the company whose locations, departments and users you want to migrate.
All Assignment Groups that do not exist already with the same name, will be migrated.
The following records will be migrated into Service Now for the specified company:
1. The company record
2. All location records for this company
parent-child relationships are also migrated
3. All departments for this company
4. All operator users for this company
operator-manager relationships are also migrated, provided the manager exists on the target server
5. All assignment group memberships for the user
provided the assignment groups exist on the target server
6. Removed sys_domain mapping from Assignment group Membership
Some API fields are not included OTB and will need to be added to the Web Service Configuration Objects as shown below:
- Location Object: Add the parent field
- Operator Object: Add the assignment.groups and contact.name fields
- Contact Object: Add the operator.id field
If you have customised any tables or added new ones then you will need to modify/add the corresponding mappings to this project if you want the data in any custom fields to be included in the migration. You may also need to add the source fields to the relevant web service configuration to give visibility of them to Precision Bridge.
Incident, Problem and Change
(Release 3). This Template migrates Incident, Problem and Change request data from HPSM into Service Now.
If you have customised any tables or added new ones then you will need to modify/add the corresponding mappings to this project if you want the data in any custom fields to be included in the migration. You may also need to add the source tables and fields to the relevant web service configuration to give visibility of them to Precision Bridge.
To do this, login to your HPSM server as an administrator, then select Tailoring->Web Services->Web Service Configuration from the navigation menu. Search for the table name, then check the RESTful enabled option on the Restful tab. Click on the fields tab to enable access to specific fields. After making changes, re-open your Precision Bridge project and select the Force Source Cache Refresh from the Options tab.
Knowledge
(Release 2). This Template migrates Knowledge Articles and Categories from an HPSM Knowledge Base into Service Now.
There are 2 manual steps that need to be completed on the source and target server. The Precision Bridge knowledge base article 'Migrating Knowledge from HPSM to Service Now' details the manual steps required as well as notes on what this template does.
Service Catalog
(Release 1). This Template migrates Service Catalog Categories and Items from HPSM into Service Now.
In most cases manual steps will be required following the migration to build a fully operational Service Catalog Item in Service Now. In particular, this template does not cover:
1. Approvals
2. Workflow
