Document Migration
(Release 1). This template migrates documents from Sharepoint into Service Now.
The application plug-in for managed documents must be enabled on the target ServiceNow
instance.
PRE-REQUISITES
This template can only be used with Sharepoint 2010.
It requires the ITSM Bridge DB Adaptor licence in order to access the SQL Server database and you must configure the SQL Server connection under ITSM Bridge configuration settings before attempting to use this template.
This template requires a field called SharePoint source id to be created on the ServiceNow Document and Document Revision tables. The field should be of type String(50). After creating, restart ITSM Bridge to ensure that the field definitions are cached.
For the purposes of looking up user names for author fields etc, it is assumed that the Sharepoint login name is identical to the ServiceNow login for the same user. If this is not the case, the field mappings must be modified accordingly.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The template includes variables for Last Modified Date and Folder which can be used to control which
records/documents are migrated for each execution.
