Within each project you will have a source connection and target connection and you may also have an external lookup connection and/or reporting target connection.
When each of these connections are defined you can save them to then be used within other projects without the need to re-define the connection details each time. Save your connection details by clicking the button next to the server type drop-down.
You will be prompted to enter a name for the connection and chose whether the saved connection should include the authentication details. Note that if you enter or select a connection name that was previously saved, it will be overwritten if you click OK.
Clicking the button will display all previously saved server connections to import the details (including any authentication information).
The list displays the name provided when the connection was saved, the server type and whether it includes authentication details.
Select the connection you wish to use and click Select. The details for the selected connection will then populate into the server connection fields, including authentication if included.
You can also delete connections or remove the authentication from connections. From the Precision Bridge application, in Design View, select File > Configure > Connections.
Select the connection and then click Delete to remove the connection completely or click Remove Authentication to keep the server details but remove the authentication information from it.
