This release has an initial version number of 7.2.16.
Listed below are the enhancements included in this release:
List of Changes
1. Support for Knowledge Article Migration into Jira
Support has been added for the creation of Confluence Pages together with comments.
Together with a new assignment function to handle embedded image references (see below), this gives an easy route for migrating Knowledge base articles into Jira Confluence.
2. Further support for Jira as a Target - Foundation Data
The initial work done in the previous release to support Jira as a target has been extended to include the creation of foundation data.
These additional features are now supported:
- Creation of Users, Groups, Organisations and Customers.
- Creation of the group membership of users.
- Creation of organisation membership of users.
- Linking of an organisation to a service desk
- Linking of a customer to a service desk
3. Server Type Selection Changes
Precision Bridge will now show ALL supported server types when creating a project. Some types do however require additional configuration. If this is the case a message will be shown directing the user to the appropriate support article.
A check on whether a particular source/target server type is licenced is still made when the project I created.
The purpose of this change is to make it clearer to new users which server types are supported and what steps need to be taken to configure them.
New Assignment Functions
The following assignment functions were added in this release
| Name | Purpose |
| JIRA_REPLACE_SNOW_IMG_TAG | Parses the html boy of a migrated knowledge article and replaces all the image tags that point to attachments on the source record with image tags that point to the same attachment on the target record. |
New or Updated Templates
No templates were created or updated in this release.
Advice To Users Upgrading from Precision Bridge 7.0 or earlier
The Use Server ID's Key Mapping option was removed from Precision Bridge 7.1. If this Key mapping option has been used in a project built with Precision Bridge 7.0 (or earlier), the Key Mapping option will default to 'No Key Mappings' when opened in Precision Bridge 7.1 or later.
Note that none of the Precision Bridge Templates used this option in earlier or current versions of Precision Bridge. If you have projects that use this option, be sure to select an alternative key mapping option to use (such as by selecting Key Field Mappings) before executing the project with Precision Bridge 7.2. Failure to do this may result in duplicate records being created if the project is run a second time to update existing records.
Other than the above, projects built using Precision Bridge 7.0 will still work with Precision Bridge 7.2 with no changes required.
Licences for 7.0 and 7.1 will still work for 7.2.
