This article provides a summary of the new features in Precision Bridge 4.6 release
1. Source Deletions
This option is available as a new tab on the Form Mappings for all ServiceNow->SQL Server migration projects. It allows records to be deleted from ServiceNow if they have been successfully migrated to the target SQL Server database. This feature can be configured to prevent deletions if references to cascade delete records are found on the source instance. For more information on Source Deletions, read the full article here.
2. Reporting on Source Deletions
When source deletions have been enabled, the count of record deletions and additional information on failed deletions can be found in the corresponding execution reports. For more information, read the full article here.
3. New option to Migrate Attachments to SQL Server
When archiving data to SQL Server from ServiceNow, you can now auto-create an attachment table in SQL Server and then configure Form Mappings to migrate record attachments. For more information on the Creation of the Attachment table, read the full article here.
4. New CASE assignment function
This new function allows a source value to be compared with one or more key/value pairs. If the source value matches the key then the corresponding value is set on the target. If no match is found then a default can be set instead. For more information, read the full article here.
5. Change to Generate Default Mappings
The Generate Default Mappings functionality on the Field Mappings List has been modified to allow one or more field mappings to be selected. For more information, read the full article here.
6. Change to Form Mappings Default Layout
The Form Mappings Default layout has now been changed to position the source form/table column on the left and the target form/table column on the right. Column positions can be dynamically changed if required.
