Configuring Adaptors
For many adaptors, Precision Bridge will be able to connect to your servers/instances without further configuration. However there are some exceptions to this:
Databases
Precision Bridge required the location of the driver library used to connect (via JDBC) to a database server. See this article for more information on how to configure this. Application Configuration Settings
BMC Remedy (AR System)
The Remedy Adaptor requires access to the Java Library provided by BMC to make its connections.
This must be placed in a folder recognised by Precision Bridge. Full details of the files needed and where to put them can be found in this article: Configuring Access to Remedy ARSystem Servers (Precision Bridge 6.3 and above)
In addition, if you are migrating from a BMC Helix server in the cloud, you will need to install the Client Gateway provided by BMC to be able to connect. This is outside the scope of Precision Bridge support, but further information can be found here:
Configuring Memory Limits for Precision Bridge
By default, Precision Bridge is configured to be able to use up to 2GB of memory (subject to availability). This is usually plenty for all but the largest migrations. However, if you are getting memory related errors when running large projects, or when having multiple projects scheduled for execution, follow the guidelines here to increase the memory Precision Bridge can use: Configuring Memory Allocation
