ServiceNow Access
Precision Bridge uses web services to connect to source and target ServiceNow instances. if you are using cloud-based instances, you may need to adjust your firewall settings to ensure that you can send and receive SOAP messages to/from external systems. By default web services/SOAP uses network port 443 to connect.
BMC Remedy Access
When connecting to BMC Remedy-based applications, Precision Bridge uses the Remedy Java API to connect directly to the application server. You must have network access to the server in order to use Precision Bridge with a source/target Remedy application. If your Remedy application is cloud-based (Remedy On-Demand), you should request access to the BMC Helix client gateway in order to connect to your application server. You will also need to install the ARSystem Java API libraries on the Precision Bridge installation machine.
Database Access
When connecting to a database server, you must install the corresponding JDBC driver on the Precision Bridge installation machine:
For SQL Server:
- mssql-jdbc-x.x.x.jre11.jar OR
- mssql-jdbc-x.x.x.jre17.jar
For Oracle: ojdbcx.jar
For Postgres: postgres-42.3.2 or later (for Precision Bridge versions 6.1 or later)
For HanaDB: ngdbc,jar
For MySQL: mysql-connector-java-x.x.x.jar
For Snowflake: snowflake-jdbc-3.13.24.jar
Ensure that you use a database driver version that is compatible with the version of the databases you will be connecting to.
