If you see this error when attempting to connect to one or more Remedy servers, the most likely reason for this is that the location of the Remedy API files on the local machine has not been set, or has been set incorrectly.
The Remedy API files are not distributed with Precision Bridge so you need to copy them to the local machine either by installing any Remedy client (e.g Developer Studio) on the machine, or by copying them from a Remedy Server.
Generally, these files are installed in the following location by default:
Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem\Arserver\api\lib
The files that are actually required are:
arapi81_build001.jar
arapiex81_build001.jar
ardoc81_build001.jar
arutil81_build001.jar
log4j-1.2.14.jar
Note that the above assumes the 8.1 API, if another version is used, the files will be similarly named (e.g. arapi7604_build001.jar for the 7.6.04 API). Precision Bridge supports the use of the 7.604, 8.1 and 9.1 API's.
Once you have identified the folder containing these files (e.g. the lib folder) follow the instructions in one of the articles below, depending on which version of Precision Bridge you are running:
Configuring Access to Remedy ARSytem Servers (Precision Bridge 6.2 and below)
Configuring Access to Remedy ARSytem Servers (Precision Bridge 6.3 and above)
